Phased Ramp

Advanced editing mechanic

• When an opponent is standing completely against the interior wall of a box, if you or your opponent edit a ramp inside the box to change its direction to be slanting down towards the wall they are against, it will cause the newly edited ramp to be phased because their character is in it.

• This locks the piece so it is not editable and also allows shots to phase straight through it. It will remain phased until this character jumps or moves off the wall.

• Use this to your advantage when build fighting to place a ramp going up towards your opponent first, then edit it to be going down towards them and immediately shoot through it.

• But beware that the same thing can happen to you. Your opponent can also shoot through the same ramp while it is phased.

• Also be aware that a ramp can get phased due to YOUR character placement. If you’re at the edge of a box and a ramp gets edited as above (by you or your opponent) that is slanting down towards you, it will also become phased.
