High Ground Strategy

In just about any battle/war/fighting game, as in real life, it is often strategic to hold the high ground. This makes it easier to see what is happening around you, easier to target and move-in on your opponents, and harder for them to see or hit you, simply due to the angles. It also gives you a larger window of visibility as you can see further.

While there are many different strategies, this is a strong one. Whether sitting atop a mountain, on a floating island, sky-basing, or just building to height (with redundancy in structure so it’s not as easy for opponents to destroy your structure), gaining height or the high ground typically gives you the advantage.

This logic can be incorporated into your general rotations, zone rotations, and camping spots also.

In many build battles, you are also less likely to get boxed in when controlling height.
