Dad Strat

• Credit to BushCampDad for leaning into this one, as one particular strategy in this category is literally in his name. “Dad strat” (our preferred term) is one of generally avoiding fights early, surviving as long as possible, and using your brain more than your fingers to maximize your results. Camping in a bush or on top of a tree sometimes still works, but this exact strategy is relatively known now and it’s not uncommon for players to send rounds into bushes from afar, or chart paths straight through them with cars and the like. And some medallions or thermal scopes allow you to see folks hiding in bushes. 



• Still, the concept of avoiding the fight and gaining physical position strategically is one that has merit and plays out successfully more often than you might imagine. Think sniper with actual military service and you’ll start to get the vibe for this strategy…avoid close-range fighting until you have to, and control the fight (before it even starts) to be on your terms as best you can to gain the advantage.
