Fortnite Ch6:S1 Medallions

Medallions

Medallions offer a powerful (sometimes overpowered) ability and can sometimes make the difference between you winning or losing.

In CH6:S1, there are currently only 2 medallions. Each is obtained by beating a boss, and currently the bosses have a crazy amount of health...like way more than in recent seasons. Expect to get pushed by other players also while you're trying to kill the boss.

The Night Rose boss spawns at the Demon Dojo when the game begins. (If it isn't showing on your map, it means someone has already beat her.) First enter the dojo to begin dealing damage directly to Night Rose, then the eyes of the mask that picks her up, and then finish with Night Rose again when it drops her. Once defeated, she'll drop the Night Rose medallion which constantly loads ammo to your weapon for you.

The Shogun X boss doesn't spawn until the island spawns in zone 4. Beware that this boss will teleport all around you and is stronger and more aggressive than bosses in recent seasons. Once defeated, he'll drop the Shogun X medallion which provides infinite stamina. When sprinting with this medallion, you gain a traditional "cloaking" (invisibility). Because you can move so quickly with this (vs having to crouch with a cloaking/invisibility medallion in a prior season), this medallion is far more powerful than its previous versions.

Just like medallions in prior seasons, when carrying any of the medallions in CH6:S1 your general location will be marked on the map by a circle of area, allowing opponents to have a feel for where you are and generally where you’re heading. There are pros and cons to this that you should think about based on your play style and strategy.

The more medallions you are carrying, the smaller your circle will be on the map, giving opponents more clarity in exactly where you are.
